“Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me we used to sing in one of our favorite hymns as kids. These are the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:31-46, as he explains to his disciples that being ready for the Kingdom of God requires more than just believing all the right things and following all the right rules and traditions. It requires that we actually live in love and charity with our neighbors and respond to their needs with care and compassion - i.e., that we be sheep and not goats.
