Oklahoma Territorial Museum to host Sixth Annual History Never Dies Event

The Oklahoma Territorial Museum will host its sixth annual History Never Dies family friendly Halloween carnival on Saturday, October 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. This year’s theme will be

The Oklahoma Territorial Museum will host its sixth annual History Never Dies family friendly Halloween carnival on Saturday, October 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. This year’s theme will be “The Wizard of Oz” to lead into the museum’s next exhibit in the Carnegie Library entitled “The Yellow Brick Road to Woman’s Suffrage,” which will open in early November. This display will be the first in a year-long series of exhibits across the state that will tell the story of Oklahoma women fighting for the right to vote.

The Oklahoma Territorial Museum is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma. Founded in 1893 by members of the Territorial Press Association, the OHS maintains museums, historic sites and affiliates across the state.
