‘Art in The Park’ set for May 9

The Checotah Art Guild will host their annual “Art in the Park’ on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Veteran’s Park at 112 North Broadway next to the Checotah Chamber of Commerce (114 North Broadway) and the Heartland Heritage Museum and Art Gallery (116 North Broadway).

This year the CAG will be celebrating all mothers and grandmothers with a Mother’s Day theme! Pretty floral arches for “selfies” will be set up in the park for the community to come and enjoy taking pictures. Bring your own cameras or phones to take photos.

Fantastic gifts will be available for moms, grandmas, aunts and sisters…so come take a look!

Art will be on display indoors and outdoors and will be for sale by local artists in the area.

There will also be fingerprint and handprint workshop for kiddos so they can make their own Mother’s Day cards!

Come see beautiful handcrafted cards by the CAG and pretty handpainted bud vases with flowers.

Check out the book signing by local author Herb McCutchen and grab a great book for Mother’s Day.

Local vendors are invited to join artists in the park. A 8×8 booth is $25. Call Kathy for more information on vendor spaces at 918-908-0169.

The Heartland Heritage Museum & Gallery will also be open for all who attend “Art in the Park.”
