The Eufaula Police Department was recently awarded almost $2,500 in grant funding from East Central Electric Cooperative and the CVEC Foundation.
Through this funding, our department was able to purchase roadside electric jack kits and emergency jump boxes. These tools will allow officers to assist motorists experiencing unexpected vehicle issues, such as flat tires and dead batteries, while traveling around and through the community.

Having this equipment readily available helps the officers respond quickly and safely, reduces the time vehicles remain disabled on roadways, and improves safety for both motorists and other drivers.
The Eufaula Police Department is grateful for the continued support from East Central Electric Cooperative and the CVEC Foundation. Partnerships like these make a meaningful difference in helping EPD better serve the community. Police Chief David Bryning noted, “strong partnerships help keep our roads safer and our community stronger.”
City Manager Jacob Foos noted that the Police Department specifically sought this grant funding as a way to be supportive in the community, “Eufaula PD embraces the City’s core values of Accountability, Community and Excellence. Every member of the department has signed up to protect and serve this community, and they have a desire to go above and beyond in even the small things.”
