Flag Exchange Drive

VFW Auxiliary 8798 would like to help you properly dispose of your worn-out flags.
We will exchange your worn 3×5 United States American Flag for a brand-new one. Dates will be shared over the upcoming months; a retirement ceremony will be held after the holidays and will be open to the community.
We will only exchange the flag size of 3×5 but will accept any size for retirement.

Help Us Pad the Pantry

Eufaula United Methodist Church is excited to announce the opening of a weekly community food pantry on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Methodist Church, 251 Matthews Lane, Eufaula. Anyone in need of food assistance is welcome.

Currently, we are collecting non-perishable food donations.

Greatly needed items include:

  • Peanut butter & jelly
  • Canned fish/meat
  • Mac & cheese
  • Pasta & pasta sauce
  • Canned fruits & vegetables
  • Canned or dried beans
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Rice
  • Soup
  • Real pancake mix
  • Protein bars
  • Peanut butter or cheese crackers
  • Fruit juice

Eufaula food drop-off locations:

  • Nichols Market
  • Sonny’s Grocery
  • Bank of Eufaula
  • Farmers State Bank
  • Legacy on Main Street

Mom’s Morning Out

Eufaula United Methodist Church, 251 Matthews Lane, is accepting applications for Mom’s Morning Out. This will be on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The cost is $25 and is open for ages 6 months to 5 years.

Monthly Food Distribution

Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma sends its mobile food pantry to Eufaula on the second Friday of each month at 10 a.m.

Distribution takes place at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 502 S. 6th St.
Bring an ID for each family receiving food. Food will be given while supplies last.

Eufaula Indian Community Monthly Meetings

The Eufaula Indian Community meets on the last Thursday of every month at 800 Birkes Rd., Eufaula.

You will be notified of any changes, or you may call the EIC office at 918-617-7587 to confirm.

VFW Auxiliary Events

Bingo: Every Monday night, concession opens at 5 p.m., games start at 6:15 p.m.

Hamburger Night: Every Wednesday night, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Hamburgers, chicken strips, fries, and more available.

Quilt Guild Meets Wednesdays

The Piece Makers Quilt Guild of Eufaula promotes interest in quilt making and other sewing projects.

Meetings are held at 1 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the Pied Piper Pest Control building on the corner of 5th and Foley in Eufaula.

Texanna Lady Crafters

The Texanna Lady Crafters shop is located right across from Dawn’s Café on Texanna Road.

Open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Look for the butterfly board and the little green alien in front of the store. Stop by and take a picture with your family — it’s free.

Friday Nights Karaoke at VFW

Eufaula VFW Post 8798 hosts karaoke by James and Vicki on Friday nights, steak night, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Respite Vouchers Available for Seniors Raising Children

Are you caring for a relative child under the age of 18? Do you need a break? The Caregiver Program might be just what you’re looking for.

Respite Vouchers are available totaling $300 for a 3-month period. The Senior Raising Children program can hire someone of their choosing to give them a much-needed break.

Respite Voucher for Caregivers

Are you caring for someone 60 years or older who needs assistance with dressing, walking, transferring, bathing, eating, or toileting? Do you assist someone with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or Parkinson’s Disease?

Friendship Kitchen Offers Sit-Down Lunches

Friendship Kitchen is excited to share with Eufaula and surrounding communities the Saturday Free Lunch program.

Everyone is invited to come to the Kitchen at United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 251 Matthews Lane, Eufaula, sit down, enjoy lunch, and socialize.

Meals are served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Take-out meals are available after 12:30 p.m.

Friendship Kitchen Volunteer Team, United Methodist Church, First Assembly of God Church, Community Culture Church, Wayland Baptist Church, and St. Paul’s Catholic Church are looking forward to seeing you.
