Do you have any suggestions to teach the meaning of Christmas to kids?

One thing that our family does with everyday in December up to Christmas is our Advent Calendar. Each day has a little box that holds a piece of candy or such. The kids are look forward to it each day. In the few moments we spend with it, we can talk about Jesus and his birth. Children can be amazingly insightful if you just talk to them. It has been a great tool to keep the focus on Christ. We have wonderful little discussions. We talk about what the Bible says about Christmas and why it is so important.

The most important thing is to live Christmas to your kids. The joy and celebration of this special time of year will make a lasting impact on them. Give them the opportunity to give this Christmas and teach them generosity early. Help them see past the toy commercials and candy to see the hope of Jesus. Allow them to see to the joy of the season in you and how you speak, live and love.

We have a small window of time with our children to help them understand the depth of love that God demonstrated in Christmas. The celebration of the season is the perfect time to share God’s love with others in your family and community.

A great way to celebrate Christmas is to join us at First Baptist Church for our annual Community Christmas Cantata on Sunday night, December 14th at 6 p.m.

We would like to extend a special invitation to you to our Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service, on Wednesday, December 24th at 6 p.m. It is a wonderful service to share with you and your whole family!

If you are reading this today and do not have a Church to call home, we would love to meet you at FBC Eufaula! We are located at 400 West Foley in Eufaula. FBC Wednesday nights start each Wednesday at 6 p.m. with great ministries for Adults, Students and Children. On Sundays, our Small Group Bible studies begin at 8:45 a.m. and you are invited to worship with us at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday. You can join us in person or online at www.eufaulafbc. org

Know that you are loved! Pastor J. Ingram FBC Eufaula
