Hodgins keeping All-State dream alive
By Rodney Haltom sports EDITOR,

Eufaula senior football standout Luke Hodgins has been working hard to keep his dream of making All-State alive. Hodgins (6’2”, 220 lbs) is an overwhelming talent on the gridiron. He has played multiple positions (quarterback, running back, linebacker, punter, defensive back) for the Ironheads. Although Eufaula failed to make the Class 3A playoffs Hodgins has put up great numbers including great leadership qualities that any program would want on their program.

Six Star Football recruiting reports has this to say about Hodgins: Combining power, speed and true two-way versatility, this 2026 standout from eastern Oklahoma has emerged as one of Eufaula High School’s most complete and physically imposing athletes. At (6’2”, 220 pounds with a 4.62 forty, a 350-pound bench press, and a 4.11 GPA, Luke Hodgins brings the rare blend of strength, intelligence, and movement skills that immediately draw college attention-reflected in his offer from Oklahoma Baptist of the Great American Conference following a recent visit.

Hodgins produced at a high level on both sides of the football, delivering 103 tackles, 12 TFL, five sacks and three forced fumbles defensively while adding 838 allpurpose yards, 9.3 yards per carry, remarkable 27.8 yards per reception, and seven total touchdowns on offense. His build is ready-made for the next level: thick through the shoulders, explosive through contact, and athletic enough to impact the game from multiple alignments. With his frame, multi-sport background, and statically efficiency, he is the exact type of rising Oklahoma prospect capable of blowing up some as more colleges evaluate his tape.

“I appreciate everything coach Newton and staff has done for me at Eufaula. Making the All-State team has been a dream of mine for a long, long time. Football has been a part of multiple generations in my family with both my dad and grandfather both playing in college. Eufaula has a strong tradition of sending athletes to All-State games and I hope I’m a part of that,” Hodgins said.
