Chapter T, Eufaula, of the P.E.O. Sisterhood has announced the awarding of three highly competitive grants to an Oklahoma college student. Lyndsey Skaggs, president of Chapter T, made the announcement at a recent chapter meeting. The happy recipient is Olivia Sloate, a nursing student attending Rogers State University.
Previously announced is the Oklahoma Continuing Education Grant in the amount of $1,500. A second grant of $2,000 was awarded recently by the International P.E.O. Continuing Education Committee.
A third grant of $1,000 was awarded last week to Sloate from the Oklahoma P.E.O. Projects Fund Committee.
It is unusual for a single student to receive three grants and indicates that Sloate is an exceptional candidate.
Sloate has been working for several years towards receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She realized that the medical field was her passion and has worked hard to achieve her dream.
She is currently interning at a Tulsa area hospital when not in class and looks forward to graduation and being “pinned” in May 2026.
