The Society for American Baseball Research’s (SABR) Collegiate Baseball Committee releases its listing of 10 Active Coaches with the most career victories upon the conclusion of the 2025 season.
Perry Keith, Connors State College remains the leader among active coaches with 1,900 career victories. After leaving retirement and taking the head coaching position at the University of South Carolina, Paul Mainieri rejoined the Top 10 in the number two slot with 1,532 career victories. Mainieri held the third spot on the 2021 Top 10 list when he retired with 1,504 wins.
Three coaches from the 2024 list departed from the Top 10 list: Danny Hall, Georgia Tech with 1,452, and Bob Babb, Johns Hopkins 1,344, retired after the 2025 season. Timothy Wallace, Spartanburg Methodist College 1,371 retired before the start of the 2025 season.
Two coaches joined the Top 10 at the conclusion of the 2025 season: Jack Avent, North Carolina State with 1,296 victories and Randy Putnam, Wallace State Community College, 1,264.
