SEMINOLE – Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) is excited to announce its sponsorship of two eighth-grade students to attend the 2025 Energy Camp, a four-day adventure designed to build leadership skills, promote teamwork, and educate young people about the importance of electrical safety, cooperative enterprises, and the rural electrification program.
The camp will take place from May 27 to May 30 at Canyon Camp near Hinton and is sponsored by the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC).
Students who are currently enrolled as eighth graders in schools (public, private, or home) within CVEC’s service area are eligible to compete for a spot at Energy Camp.
To enter, students must submit a video, 3-5 minutes in length, on the topic: “How Does Electricity Impact Your Everyday Life?”
The contest encourages collaboration, as students must pair with another eighth-grader to create and submit their video. Both completed entry forms must be attached to the email submission.
The deadline for video submissions is Friday, March 28, at 11:59 p.m.
All entries should be submitted via email to kdennis@mycvec. coop.
Please be sure to keep a copy of your entry for your records.
Alternates will be selected in the event the winners cannot attend.
