God does see us, and He is at work even in our troubles. He sees you for who you truly are deep down inside.
God is not only aware of you, but he cares for you. Sometimes we think that we may be too small, too unimportant for God to notice us. That is not true because God sees us all.
The story of Abram, Sarai and Hagar in Genesis 16 is a complicated one.
Hagar was a slave and therefore seemingly invisible. Her suffering at the hands of Sarai forces her to run away. And then the God that sees catches up to her. God is rich in compassion, and He see us in every struggle.
She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” That is why the well was called Beer Lahai Roi; it is still there, between Kadesh and Bered. Genesis 16:13-14.
God saw Hagar. He sees you, too. The scripture shows us that God is moved with deep compassion for us. He loves us with such a great love that Jesus was willing to die on the cross for you.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8. You are not alone and forgotten. God loves every person on this planet. He has made His love known through Jesus. I hope that you will seek Him today!
