The McIntosh County Health Department staff took home the “Best Overall” prize for their video project at the 2023 District 7 Health Departments all-staff meeting. McIntosh County competed against seven other health departments to make a video that highlighted how they demonstrate the agency’s core values of respect, collaboration, and service.
“Making this video was a great experience,” said Kelly Bever-Henzel, Administrative Assistant. “We learned about the different needs within our community and found places where we could serve.”
The video showcased the team’s community outreach efforts which included participating in local festivals, providing sports physicals and childhood immunizations at various events, collaborating with local organizations to provide hygiene kits to rural schools, and helping with a school backpack food program.
“Looking back and seeing what we’ve accomplished brings such a sense of pride. The project took a lot of collaboration within our team to pull everything together,” said Charity Brady, Physical Therapist.
