December 25 is the deadline to request absentee ballots by mail if you are a registered voter in the Warner School District and wish to vote by mail in the January 9 special election.
Applications must be received by the County Election Board no later than 5 p.m. Monday, December 25, 2023.
Applications are available at the County Election Board or can be downloaded at oklahoma. gov/elections. The County Election Board will be closed on December 25, but voters can apply online using the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ ovp. McIntosh County Election Board Secretary, Janelle McKnight, said absentee voting is available to all voters and applications can be submitted several ways.
“In Oklahoma, no excuse is needed to vote by absentee ballot, and it’s easy to apply! Voters can submit their application online, in-person, by fax, mail, or even email,” said McKnight.
McKnight reminds voters that only the applicant can submit his or her own absentee ballot application. It is against the law to submit an absentee ballot application for another person.
Voters with questions about absentee voting should contact the County Election Board at (918) 689-2452 or email: mcintoshcounty@ elections.ok.gov. The McIntosh County Election Board is located on the 1st floor of the McIntosh County Courthouse and is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Eligible voters who miss the deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail may vote early at the County Election Board on February 8 and 9, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. or at their polling place on election day, January 9.
