A medical condition is believed to have been the cause of a fatal auto accident that took place on Oct. 1, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The OHP said Bradley Hagelund, 53, of Checotah, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident which took place at about 10 a.m. three miles west of Checotah on Wahoo Drive.

Hagelund was the driver of a 2007 Chevy Tahoe.

The accident is still under investigation. The OHP did not report the incident until Oct. 12.
