The Checotah Wildcats fell to Heavener in a nip-n-tuck game 45- 42. The Wildcats could never really find a consistent rhythm. Checotah was outscored 12-8 in the opening period and it would prove to be the key for victory for Heavener. Checotah would battle back with great inside play by Konner Collins, who led the Wildcats with 15 points. The Wildcats forced some turnovers and outrebounded their opponent in the second period to cut Heavener’s lead 23-22 at the half.
