The Eufaula Ironheads fell short against No. 5 ranked Beggs for the second time as the Demons forced a late turnover to survive 43-42 Saturday night at the Perry Anderson Fieldhouse in Eufaula. Beggs prevailed in their first meeting 28-27 as the Ironheads fouled the shooter as the horn sounded to end the game. Beggs missed the first foul shot but hit the second to seal the victory.

Eufaula moves to 15-7 overall and was led by Alex Parish with 17 points.
The Lady Ironheads continue to steamroll opponents as they earned an easy 63-49 win over Beggs. The win moves Eufaula to 20-2 overall. They were led by senior Journi James with 17 points. Micah Osborne and Kiaya Burns each had 10 points in a game that started slow.
Leading by only two points after the first period, the Lady Ironheads’ defense began to take its toll on the Lady Demons. Eufaula used numerous turnovers and points scored in transition to cruise in the second half.
On Friday night both Eufaula teams earned big wins on senior night. The No. 14 ranked 3A Ironheads used the home crowd’s enthusiasm as motivation as they topped Henryetta 57-38. Alex Parish led all scorers with 16 points, Justis James had 13 points and Nick Jones added 12 points.
The Lady Ironheads dominated The Lady Knights 55-34. Eufaula went on a scoring surge in the first period as they outscored Henryetta 21-2 to start the game. Three seniors led the Lady Ironheads as Journi James had 17 points, Kiaya Burns 12 points and Des Evans added 10 points.
On Tuesday Eufaula defeated Preston 70-49. Eufaula was on fire offensively as head coach Jeff Oliver had five players in double figures. Nick Jones led all scorers’ with 21 points, Justis James 13 points, Luke Parish 12 points and Alex Parish and Khelil Deere each finished with 10 points.
The Lady Ironheads held on to win 48-37. Senior Ashley Mills led Eufaula with 13 points and Kiaya Burns added 10 points.
