William Randall "randy" Younger
William Randall “Randy” Younger, 61, of Eufaula, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the McAlester Regional Medical Center. Randy was born on May 24, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Billy Mike and Bonnie Carolene (Ross) Barlow.
He attended Watts High School and entered the United States Army at the age of 17. Randy received his diploma while in the Army.
He served during the Vietnam War. He was a part of the Skycrane unit, serving as helicopter crew chief.
He also was crew chief of the 283rd Medivac Huey Helicopter Ambulance.
On August 8, 1981, Randy married Alicia Shockley in Lewes, Delaware. They were happily married for 37 years.
Randy was a member of the Eufaula Masonic Lodge #1, the Shriners, Scottish Rite and Eastern Star.
He also was a member of the Little Coweta Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Alicia, of the home; his father, Billy Younger of Watts, Okla.; his son, Alex Younger, wife Michelle and daughter Marie of Oklahoma City; his son Eugene Younger and wife Westin of Oklahoma City; his daughter, Tiffany Little, husband John and foster child Bailey of Muskogee; his brother, Tim Younger; and his sister, Dena Bateman and husband Joe of Watts, OK.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol Barlow.
A funeral service was held 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at the Little Coweta Baptist Church with Rev. Dustin Tidwell officiating.
Pallbearers were Alex Younger, Eugene Younger, John Little, Jamie Kirby, Steve Vaughn and Bill Kirby.
Burial followed at the Morrison Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
