Ron Ashcraft, 72, of Eufaula, passed away on September 17, 2019 at his home. Ron was born On June 12, 1947 to Hollis and Josephine (Crawford) Ashcraft.
He graduated from Will Rogers High School, Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1965. Ron graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1969.
He then moved to New York City, where he worked at Saks Fifth Avenue and became the youngest branch store manager in Saks history.
Upon his return to Oklahoma in 1982 Ron pursued a Master's Degree in Counseling and Psychology from Northeastern State University and graduated in 1988. At this time he began his 10-year career that specialized in substance abuse programs.
Ron and his partner of 22 years, Bryce McKinney, owned and operated the Tolleson House Caffe and Eufaula Flower Shoppe and Caffe.
In 2014, they sold the business to begin traveling.
Ron also worked part-time at Nichols Dollar Saver Grocery Store.
He enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with his family, friends and animals. Survivors include: his partner, Bryce McKinney, of the home; two sisters: Cathy Garrison and Beverly Malloy; and one brother, Lewis Ashcraft.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Kelley Memorial Chapel with Reverend J. Ingram officiating.
Pallbearers were: Robert Lee Simpson, Gary Moores, Johnny Sellers, Roger Barton, Vince Pizarro and Jimmy Haskett.
Honorary pallbearers were: Bruce Cantrell, Art South, Al Sahli, Chuck Pitman, Terry Gust, Bruce Warneck, Ken Marley and Danny Johnson.
Burial followed at the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
