Michael Irving Silk
Michael Irving Silk, 90, of Eufaula, passed away on at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. Mike was born on August 29, 1929 Iron County, Michigan to Mike and Nillie Silk.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator. Mike was of the Baptist faith. He also broke horses for an Indian reservation and helped his dad run their gas station.
Survivors include: his four sons: Rodger Silk, of L’Anse, Michigan; Michael Silk Jr., of Trout Creek, Michigan; Kenneth Silk, of Los Lunas, New Mexico; and Richard “Mike” Silk, of Eufaula, Oklahoma; four daughters: Susie Bass, of Hickory, North Carolina; Cora Panic, of Crandon, Wisconsin; Theresa Nordyke, of Modesto, California; and Cathy Wilson, of Eufaula, Oklahoma; step children he loved like his own with wife, Nonie of thirty-six years: Margaret Dowling, Glenna Fisher, Freda Warren, Curt Williams, and Jim Hoyst. twenty grandchildren; and thirty great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Nillie Silk; and two sisters: Nora Sorgate and Mary Anderson.
