What does salvation look like?
By Know that you are loved! Pastor J. Ingram ? First Baptist Church of Eufaula, OK

Excellent question! I want to know that I know that I am saved, I am sure that you do, too. There are two verses I want to share.

First is Ephesians 2:8-9, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Second is Romans 10:9-10, “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

Salvation by grace through faith means that we are saved by believing what Christ done for us in his perfect life, sacrificial death and resurrection. There is nothing you can add to it.

You are a Christ-follower because you have trusted in Christ by faith for your salvation. It is not about what I can do, but it’s about what He has already done for me and for you. That is what being saved looks like. As we grow in our faith we begin to change to be more like Jesus. Our salvation is demonstrated in our love for each other, our obedience to God’s commands in Scripture, and that we produce fruit in our lives that show that we follow Jesus. You are not meant to do this on your own but with the help of fellow Christians who care and support you as you grow in Jesus. We would love to be part of your walk with Jesus at First Baptist Church!

We would love to meet you and help you and you endure and overcome! I think you will find something special in our fellowship. Here you can find a place to grow close to God. First Baptist Church is located at the corner of 4th and Foley. Morning Bible Study begins at 8:45 a.m., with our Morning Worship Service at 10:00 a.m. Our Wednesday Night programs begin at 6 p.m. I would also like to invite you to visit our website at www.eufaulafbc. org.
