Eufaula Indian Community Center to host Indian Arts & Crafts Gathering – April 4

The Eufaula Indian Community Center invites you to an Indian Arts & Crafts Gathering on Saturday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 800 Birkes Road in Eufaula.

This gathering will feature handmade works by local and regional artists, including beadwork, pottery, textiles, jewelry, paintings, and traditional crafts.

Beyond the artwork, this is a gathering of stories. Each piece carries something of the artist’s journey—family, memory, and tradition shaped across generations. These are more than objects; they are expressions of lived experience.

Some stories are shared openly. Others wait quietly, ready to be asked about.

Come not just to see the work, but to be part of it. Ask about a piece. Listen for what it carries. Share a story of your own. In those moments, something simple and meaningful happens—the distance between people begins to fade.

That same spirit of connection carries throughout the day. A chair volleyball game will bring laughter, energy, and friendly competition. Played with a large beach ball, often described as volleyball in slow motion—it’s a reminder that connection is found not only in what we create, but in how we come together. Many of the participants are seniors, whose spirit brings warmth, humor, and a quiet sense of joy to the day.

A silent auction will be held, with winners announced at 2 p.m. (must be present to win). Food and refreshments will be available.

Moments like these don’t come around often— where art, memory, and community meet in one place. Hosted by the Eufaula Indian Community of the Eufaula- Canadian Tribal Town, this gathering is an invitation: to come, to listen, and to share.

Because the stories are not only in the art, they are carried by everyone who gathers.
