This is a great big question? I find that the simple answer is because God is so good. God is willing to forgive us, redeem us, provide for us and stand with us. God is absolutely, perfectly good and His love for people like us was so great that He sent Jesus to the Cross to make a way for us to be with Him.
The 103rd Psalm reflects God great love and provision for us and I frequently return to it to remind myself of why I placed my faith in God.
••• He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel: The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
