FLEAS February Meeting

FLEAS February Meeting

Our meeting was held at the Legacy on Main Street. Our hostesses were Barbara Johnsen, Kim Dawson and Cindy Troup. The theme was Founder’s Day with a lovely tribute to the past presidents. There were pictures of the past presidents when they were children scattered on the tables and a contest to see who could match them! In order of service past presidents in attendance were Lou Stouse, Gloria Stubbs, Betty Odvody, Margaret Kramer, Sondra Coughlin, Gwyn Sylvester, Kay Owens Joy Hamilton and Kay Rogers. The ladies received roses and were toasted for their past service. In an act to honor, this event is always planned by the new officers and hostesses. Spectacular celebration, ladies!

The officers for 2026 are Kim Dawson: President, Mary Nelson: Vice President, Barbara Johnsen: Secretary, Dorothy Kasiner: Treasurer, Margaret Kramer: Parliamentarian. Welcome to a brand-new year!

Our guest speaker was Sherry Morse. Sherry leads fitness classes at the Legacy named SAIL (Staying Active and Independent for Life). The classes start with stretching, move on to light cardio, then balance and lastly weights. One goal is to build muscle to protect bones. The classes are fun and you move at your own pace – do what you can!
