The Heartland Heritage Museum & Gallery will be hosting another meeting for artifact enthusiasts on Thursday, March 19 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at 116 N. Broadway in Checotah.
Mel Phillips of the Oklahoma Anthropological Society will talk about how he identifies locally found arrowheads and other similar artifacts found in the state.
Locals are encouraged to bring their relic “finds” and join in the “show and tell” session with other artifact enthusiasts.
This will be a new monthly event taking place on the third Thursday of each month from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. These gatherings will help the Heartland establish a regular circle of like-minded, adventurous folks who enjoy exploring and preserving the rich history of this area and its many artifacts and special finds.
The public is invited and the session is free of charge.
Everyone is welcome!
