So what have Mc-Intosh County GOP members been up to these days? Well, we are busy planning an all day forum event with Pittsburg County at the SE Expo Center in McAlester for all statewide races. There will be a number of forums including a First Ladies/ Gentleman Round Table with all the gubernatorial wives/husbands as well as State Treasurer, Labor Commissioner, Corporation Commissioner, State Superintendent, and Lt. Governor, just to name a few.

We will have a cake walk, tables on the current State Questions, merch tables, food vendors, voter education tables, campaign materials for many of the statewide campaigns (want a sign?) and so much more. Please plan to visit us on April 11 in McAlester, it’s going to be a one stop shop for everything election related. The finale that evening will be the gubernatorial forum — all forums will be moderated by the Honorable John Bennett, former OKGOP State Chair and former Oklahoma State Representative.

Speaking of gubernatorial elections, we will have JJ Humphrey on hand at our next meeting to speak about his run for Lt. Governor — Eufaula VFW on March 26 at 6:30 p.m. We will also have Will Webb here to speak about Title IV and the impact they are having on families, you will not want to miss either of these! Be watching for our Welcome Wagon volunteers — they are out and about bringing Swag Bags to all you newly registered voters and we have a drawing each month just for the new voters. As always everyone is welcome and light refreshments will be available!
