While you’re waiting

While you’re waiting

While you’re waiting for the perfect opportunity, what opportunities are passing you by?

While you’re waiting for the perfect time, is life passing you by because they say time waits for no man? What golden opportunities are you missing while you’re waiting instead of seizing the day?

While you’re waiting for someone to change, is a more meaningful relationship slipping away while you try to salvage a useless one? Are you waiting for them to become the right person or you to become the right person for them? That simply won’t happen. Either they were the right person to begin with or they weren’t – simple as that.

Unfortunately while you’re waiting for them to be the right person, real love is passing you by because Mr. Right thinks that you are already taken. Are both of you now headed down the wrong paths, finding more wrong turns, waiting once again to find the right one?

Are you waiting for change? His or yours? While you’re waiting for all these changes to be less painful, are you missing out on the beauty of the transformation?

Every stage of life is beautiful in its unique way. So embrace the change -the good, the bad and the ugly.

Too many times we refuse to embrace our imperfections and scars. Instead we are waiting on perfection that doesn’t exist. We are waiting on people to make us happy rather than just having our own personal joy. Or we are trying to make things less painful. Unfortunately, no one leaves this world without scars or pain. Remember Jesus was sinless and they still crucified Him. Let that sink in.

So while you’re waiting, realize you may have to endure some heartache and some hard knocks but if you keep pressing forward there is a purpose in the pain.

However, we can begin the healing process here on earth by letting go of what we were never meant to control in the first place. Letting go is just the beginning, but letting God into our hearts is the true key to a new and better future. Then thankfully we will be completely healed once we reach Heaven one day.

However, for now we have to quit settling for worldly alternatives. If it’s not God’s plan for you, let it go. Let go of trying to be perfect or trying to find the perfect man. There’s only One Man who is perfect and His name is Jesus.

Let go of the person that you can’t change because they refuse to change. Just realize their happiness never depended on you anyways because only true salvation will bring them true joy.

Then let go of who you thought you were supposed to be as well. Let God mold you and shape you into who you were really meant to be.

I understand you’re tired of waiting but I think you’ve been waiting on all the wrong things and for all the wrong reasons.

Instead why not try waiting on the Lord because He wants to give you the desires of your heart if they line up to His Will. I believe you deserve God’s best so be patient and ask Him, “What move do You need me to make next, Lord?” I promise you, if you ask, He will answer you and He will never offer you His second best.

So while you’re waiting, why not just ask Him, “Ok God, what’s next?”
