There are seasons in every life when we feel like we are alone in the world. We can easily slip into a dark time of loneliness and isolation. Where is God in that time? Where has he moved to? In fact, God has not moved at all, but we have. We are tugged by our emotions and feelings and they drag us into doubt and cynicism. We move out on our own and we leave God behind. When we do that eventually we will all feel isolated and alone. The Bible tells us that we can run but we cannot run from God. “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there”. Psalm 139:7 Our God is an ever-present help with endless mercy for any that would call out to Him.
