The search is underway for the next Eufaula Public Schools superintendent. Eufaula school board members opened the search, in partnership with the Oklahoma State School Boards Association, after Eufaula Schools Superintendent Monty Guthrie announced his retirement at the end of this school year.
With the search underway, Eufaula school board members invite the public to provide input through a community survey launched on the district’s website – eufaula. k12.ok.us. The survey will be available on the district’s website until Feb. 6.
According to Eufaula Board President Jeff Pippenger, it is the voice of their community and district family that will help guide the board throughout the superintendent search.
“Communicating directly with our stakeholders on what their needs are as we take this next step for our district is very important to our board,” Pippenger said. “It is their voice that will highlight the priorities of our district and help our board pinpoint what they value in a superintendent. We look forward to hearing from you on the characteristics and experiences that are important to you as a superintendent.”
The Board began accepting applications Jan. 26 at ossba.
