The Eufaula Police Department served a warrant at a residence in the Lakehurst Addition within the City of Eufaula on Jan. 22.

The warrant was served as part of an ongoing investigation. The suspect, Lakota Locust, is a known affiliated gang member and a fugitive wanted out of San Diego, California, by the San Diego Police Department Gang Unit.

Locust was wanted on a full extraditable warrant for gangmotivated assault with great bodily injury. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the McIntosh County Jail, where he is currently being held awaiting extradition.

The McIntosh County Sheriff ’s Department assisted the Eufaula Police Department in serving the warrant.

Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation and extradition process, no further information is being released at this time.
