Rosie Genevieve Small

Rosie Genevieve Small, 92, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, peacefully passed from this life on Thursday, December 25, 2025, in Adkins, Texas. Genevieve was born on March 4, 1933, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Arvel Preston Rodgers and Lillie Arvillia (McElroy) Rodgers.

On August 3, 1954, Genevieve married Robert Donald Small. They were happily married for 64 years. Genevieve lived in various states including California, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Kansas, Nebraska, Maryland, and finally settled in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1965 where she lived the rest of her life. She loved to sew and make handmade quilts. She loved to watch her grandchildren participate in various activities.

Genevieve is survived by her sister, Bonnie Johnson of

March 4, 1933 – December 25, 2025

Commerce, OK; her daughters, Pam Chidster and husband Jack of Adkins, TX and Sandy LeBow of Adair, OK; grandchildren Becky DeBoer, Jerad & Renee Lohmann, Patrick O’Hara and wife Beth of Tulsa and Jesse & Kathryn McKinney of San Antonio; great grandchildren Nick DeBoer, Jordan & Chynna Borthick, Jason DeBoer, Logan & Callie DeBoer, Avery Lohmann and Wrigley Lohmann; and great great grandchildren Kilee Kay DeBoer, Lucas DeBoer, Beau DeBoer, and Cooper DeBoer and Ruger Borthick, Cheyenne McKinney and Juniper O’Hara.

Genevieve is preceded in death by her parents, Arvel and Arvillia Rodgers, her husband Robert, brothers Lonnie Lee, Don & Ed Rodgers and a son in law, Richard LeBow.

A funeral service was held 1 p.m., Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Kelley Memorial Chapel with Bro. Doyle Stewart officiating.

Burial followed at the Bower Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
