Rayford Gavin Johnson, 91, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in Tulsa. Rayford was born on February 26, 1934, in Carter Eaves City, Oklahoma, the son of Hugh LaFayette and Meddie Anita (Lewis) Johnson. He graduated from Fox High School in 1953.
On December 9, 1953, Rayford married Norma Means. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1954. Rayford worked at Tinker Field Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, retiring on January 1, 1988.
After retiring, Rayford built a home and moved to Lake Eufaula.

Ann Bishop of Edmond, Oklahoma and Paula Anita Lowrance and husband Bart of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Meddie Johnson, his wife of 51 years Norma Lee, three sisters, Blanquita Almond, Carmalita Wright and Carolyn Sue Johnson and two brothers Hugh Gene Johnson and Larry Wayne Johnson.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Kelley Memorial Chapel with John Mc-Crackin officiating.
Pallbearers were Bart Lowrance, Dell Bishop, Jordan Winkleman, Hunter Winkleman, Drake Koehn and Ryan McCrackin.
Burial followed at the Bower Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
