A Christmas wish from Pastor J.

I hope that we hold these days close and remember the Savior that makes them special. I also hope that appreciate and love each other because these days are short, and we not promised tomorrow.

I hope you find love. Love that moves the heart to draw near its Maker and to draw near to your fellow man. The kind of love that turns away from selfishness and embraces sacrifice.

I hope you find peace. Not peace as the world gives, but the gentle peace of our God who understands. Peace on Earth cannot happen until we are at peace with ourselves and with God.

I hope you find joy. I don’t mean temporary distraction, but the kind of joy that helps you rise about the turmoil of life. Joy to the world begins in you.

I hope you find home. Home is where you are dearly loved and you can share that love in return. Home is a place where people care about you for who you are and sometimes in spite of who you are.

I hope you find purpose. God has a perfect and amazing plan for your life. A plan to bless you and others. I hope that you find that Divine purpose and live it out for the glory of God.

I hope you see others. God is always pointing His children to show kindness, grace and mercy to others. There is no better time to be good neighbors than at Christmastime. The family of God must see beyond our walls and show compassion on those that suffer during this time.

I hope you find Jesus. Nothing matters without Christ. He brings meaning to life and the strength to live it and hope after it is over. I hope you know Him. In Him all people have a home.

“I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach.”― Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol If you are reading this today and do not have a Church to call home, we would love to meet you at FBC Eufaula!
