Our group of ladies has worked all year to keep our shop full of handmade items that are unique and interesting. We really appreciate our shoppers, facebook followers, and all of the community support we recieve.
When you buy a crafted item from our store, those sales help our McIntosh County community.
In 2025, we donated to the Backpack Buddies, Onapa, Porum Landing, Vivian and F.A.I.C. fire departments, Options Inc., etc.
We made motivational rocks for Veterans and purchased toys for the Texanna Elves and Toy Soldiers.
We also donated to Happy Paws and Under one Roof.
This year, and always, the Checotah Walmart staff were so pleasant and helpful when we arrived to check out with our several carts full of gifts for children.
We enjoy buying for this worthy cause, and the staff friendliness adds to our enjoyment.
The purchased Christmas toys were for the Texanna Elves and Toy Soldiers programs.
The Texanna Elves donations are organized by LaDonna McKay and The Toy Soldier donations by Erin Bridges.
LaDonna also has a food pantry at her quilt shop and we have given funds to help buy food supplies for it.
Our TLC membership continues to grow and flourish. We gather every Friday to visit, craft and do any shop chores.
Our officers will remain the same for 2026: Helen Tremain – President, Sandy Bethell -Vice President, Claudia Hazleton- Secretary, and Lisa Smart-Treasurer.
Stop in on some Friday or Saturday and see what we are all about.
Our hours are from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Cheers to the upcoming New Year. We wish you joy, health and prosperity.
