Downtown Eufaula was filled with holiday cheer and the irresistible aroma of fresh-baked treats as the Eufaula Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Cookie Crawl on Saturday, Nov. 13. The event, first launched in 2018, continues to be a favorite holiday tradition that brings the community together while showcasing local businesses.
Participants picked up their Cookie Crawl maps and set off throughout downtown, stopping at participating businesses to sample a wide variety of homemade cookies and holiday treats. From classic favorites to creative seasonal recipes, each stop offered a warm welcome and a festive atmosphere.
In addition to spreading holiday spir-it, the Cookie Crawl added a friendly dose of competition. After votes were tallied, the Chamber announced this year’s top cookie winners:
• First Place: Nicole’s Unique Gifts
• Second Place: Tavern 9
•Third Place: Renewed by Calvary Thrift Store Chamber officials said the event continues to grow each year, drawing both longtime residents and visitors eager to support local businesses during the holiday season. The Cookie Crawl not only encourages shopping local, but also strengthens connections between business owners and the community.
“It was a wonderful day, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the turnout. We’re grateful for every business and participant who helped make the Cookie Crawl such a success,” Chavala Langford, assistant to the Chamber of Commerce, said.
