Driver killed after hitting deer

An unidentified motorist was killed after striking a deer and then a second vehicle on SH 16 in Muskogee County Friday.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, after the car struck the deer the vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Amy Azlin, 48, of Eufaula, who was injured in the accident.

The OHP said the first vehicle was westbound shortly before 6 p.m. when it struck a deer in the westbound lanes, swerved and struck the eastbound vehicle.

Due to the severity of the collision the deceased was not immediately identified.
