The theme of our meeting was Dress to Impress. Our hostesses were Gayle Davis, Cheryl Tanner, Joy Hamilton and Margaret Kramer. These talented four did an awesome job of decorating for a day to celebrate style. Our hostess gifts were pumps of scented lotion/ soap! Great job ladies.
Each year FLEAS has a style show to showcase items of apparel that can be purchased at local boutiques in Eufaula and Checotah. Kay Owens is the mastermind behind the show. She visits each merchant, lines up the models, takes responsibility for all clothes and accessories not purchased and narrates the show! Great success again, Kay.
Each model then goes to the store and with the help of the manager/owner chooses an outfit with accessories if so desired. This year’s models were Linda Powell looked perky in her outfit All Things Boutique in Checotah. Llana Wilcutt was elegant in her choice – B&B Boutique in Eufaula. Dottie Krebs stunned – Burke Bells. Jan Kreiger looked so stylish – Chloe, located in Checotah. Mary Nelson looked lovely – Fox Place in Checotah. Brenda Bahr was eye catching in clothes and jewelry – Nicole’s in Eufaula. Vonnie Clark was delightfully casual in an outfit from Slice of Country in Checotah. Iris Harp went country in clothes from Sharps. We encourage you to shop locally there are such stylish clothes right here in the area!
In October, we will once again meet the First Methodist Church. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Jim Shoyer. His topic is Looking towards Birds in Winter. I think this will be fascinating! Hope to see you there!
