A tour of Greenwood Cemetery in Eufaula will start at Asbury Memorial at 1 p.m. Friday, October 17.

The public is invited to join the Friends of the Eufaula Memorial Library to see graves of important city founders and their families.

History enthusiast Danielle Burchfield will lead the tour and narrate the step back to the past with enlightening anecdotes and insights about Eufaula’s early growth.

The Asbury Memorial— with a cross on the top—is the tallest of the two big monuments left of the cemetery’s main entrance.

Parking is any place on the paved path.

Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and a sunshading hat and bring some cool water for hydration.
