An Oklahoma fishing guide from the Lake Texoma area was the winner of the 2025 Crappie Masters National Championship held Sept. 26-27 at Lake Eufaula.
Kayle Ward took home $20,000 for his efforts.
Winners of the team competition were Mississippi anglers Cassidy Box and Alex Hall, who won $10,000.
Ward was the angler to beat from day one. His total weight was 28.31 pounds, garnering him 200 points.
Anglers from around the country participated in the event, which is hosted locally by VisionEufaula and the City of Eufaula.
In addition to the main event, a lot of activities took place during the four-day event/ The tournament kicked off Wednesday, Sept. 24 with registration and dinner at Xtreme RV.
Thursday and Friday concentrated on fishing.
Championship Saturday activities began at noon with a free kids fishing rodeo held at Nichols Point boat ramp.
Starting at 3:30 p.m., VisionEufaula and the City provided a free fish meal, which was followed by an awards ceremony at Xtreme Amphitheater at 4 p.m.
