Crappie championship this week

The Crappie Masters National Championship will take place at Lake Eufaula through Saturday, Sept. 27.

The event got underway Wednesday with registration and dinner from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Xtreme RV.

Fishing hours will be daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

with weigh-in at 4:30 p.m. at Xtreme Amphitheater.

On Saturday, Sept. 27, a free kids rodeo will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the Amphitheater followed by a free fish fry at 3:30 p.m.

The tournament will be hosted by VisionEufaula and the City of Eufaula.
