Tribal Walk Sept. 20

The Eufaula-Canadian Tribal Town will host their annual walk on Sept. 20, beginning at 7 a.m. at Lakeside Dive just off McKinley Avenue and east of Main Street.

The walk is a commemoration to our ancestors who traveled on the “Trail of Tears” to the new homeland of Oklahoma.

It is a spiritual and inspiration walk for all descendants.

It is a time to remember and reflect on the lives of those who carried strength, courage and determination to overcome the many obstacles faced as they journey west.

The Eufaula-Canadian Tribal town extends an invitation to everyone to join us on this walk of remembrance and to honor our ancestors.

We will meet at the City Park, across from the First Baptist Church on Foley, at 6:45 a.m. A van will be available to take walkers to the starting line.

If you have any questions, please call Jon Tiger at 918-850-3806.
