The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that a witness saw a motorist’s rear tire have a blowout causing the vehicle to hit a concrete barrier.

The accident took place at about 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, north of SH9A in the northbound lanes of U.S. 69.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Pedro Hernandez Esquivel, 23, of Bertram, Texas, who escaped injury.

However, the OHP reports that an unidentified passenger in the vehicle was injured.
