Artist and former Indian Journal news editor Jack Fowler will be doing a mural during the fourth annual Vision Eufaula Wine & Art Festival, set for Saturday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 150 N. Front Street.
Fowler painted the whimsical turkey fight on the sides of the old jail on Front Street in 2022.
Also painting a mural will be Missouri artist Alex Eick- hoff, who, also in 2022, painted the largemouth bass on the north side of Sonny’s, 402 S. Main ST.
The artists will arrive this Saturday, August 30 and they should be finished with the murals by the start of the festival on September 6.
The murals will be at the cove, and water related.
The first location is the bathrooms in front of the Xtreme General Store where Jack will be painting his mural. Then Alex will be doing his mural on the green water pump building.
The murals are just two of the attractions that will be of interest to art fans.
So far 37 artists have signed up for booths this year, 12 more than last.
In addition to art of all kinds, there will be five alcohol distributors on hand and five food trucks as well as live entertainment and things for kids to do.
