The Eufaula Lady Ironheads wasted no time flexing their power Friday night, unloading 13 runs in the very first inning on their way to an 18-1 rout of the Central Lady Tigers.

Hannah Needham set the tone with a two-run double, Emma Lovett followed with another RBI double, and the hits just kept coming. Briley Gragg ripped an RBI single, Rayleigh Peterson drove in a run, and Ava Neill, Raci Summerlin, and Abby Box all added RBI knocks as the Lady Ironheads batted around in a relentless offensive surge.

Eufaula wasn’t done yet. In the second inning, Gragg lined a double down the left-field line and Peterson punched a single to center, while Neill and Lovett each brought home runs to push the score even further out of reach. Karsyn Richardson capped the scoring in the third with a sharp single down the right-field line, sealing the 18-1 victory.

Leah Green owned the pitching circle for the Lady Ironheads, scattering four hits and allowing just one unearned run across three innings of work. She struck out four and walked only one to secure the win.

The Lady Ironheads’ bats were red-hot; piling up 14 hits on the night. Briley Gragg, Rayleigh Peterson, Emma Lovett, Hannah Needham, and Maddison Lee all collected two hits apiece, while six different players – Gragg, Peterson, Lovett, Needham, Summerlin, and Neill – drove in two runs each.

With the win, the Lady Ironheads not only improved to 2-1 on the season but also sent a clear message: their lineup is dangerous, and they’re just getting started.

The Eufaula Lady Ironheads (3-1) wasted no time making a statement, erupting for 10 runs in the opening inning on their way to a commanding 12-0 victory over the Stilwell Lady Indians on Saturday. It marked the second straight game that Eufaula jumped out to a massive first-inning lead.

Rayleigh Peterson jumpstarted the rally with a walk to bring in a run, Hannah Needham was hit by a pitch to plate another, and Ava Neill laced a two-RBI single. A passed ball pushed two more across before Leah Green’s sacrifice fly added another. Peterson returned to the plate later in the inning, ripping a two-run single, and a fielding error capped off the offensive explosion.

The Ironheads kept the momentum rolling in the second inning as Leah Green tripled and Briley Gragg singled, each driving in a run to extend the lead.

Green was just as dominant in the circle as she was at the plate. The right-hander tossed three shutout innings, allowing just one hit while striking out five and walking none.

At the plate, Green went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBIs, while Peterson also drove in a pair. Briley Gragg, Peterson, and Emma Lovett kept the pressure on the base paths, helping Eufaula rack up 10 stolen bases in the win.

For Stilwell, Cadence Ross went 1-for-1 to notch the team’s lone hit of the day.

With their offense firing on all cylinders and their pitching unhittable, the Lady Ironheads look poised to keep rolling strong this season.
