Former IJ employee killed
Former Indian Journal employee Dawnyal K. Hill, 52, died in a single-vehicle accident in Okfuskee County on Sunday, August 17.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol provided very few details about the event, other than to say that it took place at about 8:10 a.m. at county road NS 387 and Old Highway 62.
Hill, the newspapers graphic designer, left the IJ in 2012.
At the time of her death, she was graphic designer for the McAlester News Capital.
