Home care agency honored

Tephanie Neill was born and raised in Eufaula.

Two years ago the 1999 graduate of EHS cofounded Heritage Home Care, which provides a variety of services including skilled nursing, physical therapy, home health aide, occupational therapy, and speech.

“Quality patient care to my hometown has always been my goal,” she said.

That goal has been reached.

In July the national Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) organization honored Heritage Home Care as a “Premier Performer Patient Experience Award for 2024.

SHP collects Medicare data and tracks quality of patient experience.

Heritage Home Care ranked in the top 5 percent of all SHP clients for the 2024 calendar year.

The agency, which has 25 employees, has served over 800 patients in 15 counties since its founding.

The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge home health agencies that consistently provide high quality service to their patients.

The 2024 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall experience score for more than 3,200 home health providers.

With the largest HHCAHPS benchmark in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made patient experience a priority, and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the HHCAHPS survey.

“SHP recognizes how much hard work is involved in providing excellent patient care, and we are proud to acknowledge the tireless efforts of our top-performing customers through our annual SHPBest award program. These organizations care deeply about the patient experience and they never stop striving to improve every single year”, said Kevin Vogel, President of SHP.

Heritage Home Care was founded in 2023 and achieved top 5% in the Nation for patient experience within its first year in business.

“Heritage Home Care in Eastern Oklahoma prides itself on a dual focus: creating a positive, team-centered work environment and prioritizing patient care by treating each patient as family. We have a family-owned and operated nature, which is a key differentiator,” said Neill, CEO and President.

Heritage Home Care Inc. is a Medicare-certified and CHAP-accredited home health agency.

That is located in two locations, Eufaula and Poteau, providing a variety of services.

They area locally owned and operated company with over 40 years of combined experience in the home health industry. Heritage Home Care has a strong focus on quality patient care and satisfaction, with outcomes exceeding both state and national averages.

Heritage Home Care Inc. also offers specialized programs, including a Patient Specific Diabetic Program, as well as Respiratory, Cardiac, Orthopedic, and Hospitalization Programs designed to help patients manage their disease processes effectively.
