We just have about a week left of our Summer Reading Program, and we have lots of exciting events planned for you! We have summer reading calendars available at the circulation desk. Come by and pick one up today. You can also find our events online at eols.org/events. Here is the schedule for the week of July 20:
• Monday, July 21 at 5:15 p.m., Macrome keychain adults
• Tuesday, July 22 at 1 p.m. Solar ovens for ages 6-11
• Wednesday, July 23 at 10 a.m.and 1 p.m.—Pawsitively Animals, All ages
• Thursday, July 24 at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.—Storytime and a craft for ages 0-5
• Thursday, July 24 at 1:00 p.m.—Teen Project Runway ages 12-18
Do you have any puzzles you have worked on and you don’t know what to do with them now? We will have a puzzle swap in the lobby from July 21 to July 25 during regular library hours. Bring a puzzle to trade out with a puzzle from our table in the lobby.
Have you signed up for the summer reading challenge? Patrons of all ages can register for Beanstack at eols. beanstack.org, the platform we use to record how many minutes you read.
We will hand out prizes for each 100 minutes read. You can claim your prizes at the circulation desk at Eufaula Memorial Library. We will also put your name in a drawing for the grand prize. The drawing will be on the last day of July.
The Friends of Eufaula Memorial Library are having a book sale on Saturday, August 16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
They are looking for donations of books and DVDs for the sale. The books and DVDs must be clean and in good condition. No encyclopedias or World Books, magazines, or VHS tapes will be accepted. Donations can be delivered to Eufaula Memorial Library before Friday, August 15, at noon.
The Friends of Eufaula Memorial Library (FEML) are looking for new members to join and continue to help build the library. The next meeting is Friday, July 18, at 1:00 p.m. William (Bud) McCombs will tell about the history of Eufaula. Contact President Gail Rose at member.FEML@gmail. com to join.
