The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that a juvenile, whose name and age are being withheld, was fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident that took place at about 10:30 p.m. on July 4.
The deceased was driving a 2019 Polaris Sportsman on Douglas Road at Canyon Road a mile north of Longtown in Pittsburg County when the accident occurred. He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where he died on July 8 as a result of the injuries.
A juvenile passenger on the Polaris was treated and released from the scene of the accident.
According to the OHP, the Polaris was northbound on Canyon Road when the vehicle lost control and rolled while negotiating a curve to the left, turning into Douglas Road.
