The 2025 Checotah Little League has been another great year for this local OK Kids association league. This year the league boasted 24 teams: 4/4 under Wee Ball teams, 7/6 under T-ball teams, 8/8 under Coach Pitch teams and 5/ 10 under Kid pitch teams. The league began in early April and played through the last week of May. The league was well represented with teams from Checotah, Warner, Oktaha, Eufaula and Porum.

This year the Checotah Little league was able to send the six and under Checotah Hitmen, the eight and under Bulls, the eight and under Porum Panthers and the 10 and under OK Bomb Squad to Regional play. The six under Hitmen represented as a top 16 team in the OK Kids league at State. The 10 under OK Bomb Squad represented the league at the Sallisaw regional. This was the first year as a 10 under team, most players being nine years old.

The eight and under Porum Panthers represented the league at the eight under Sallisaw regional while the Bulls represented the League at the Vian Regional. The Panthers played a tough bracket and were two and out at Sallisaw. The Bulls lost the first game but battled through the losers’ side to place 2nd at Vian and secure a spot at eight and under State tournament. The Bulls traveled to Clinton ,Oklahoma they faced a tough bracket there and lost two to finish the season as a top five, eight under team in the Oklahoma Kids Baseball League.

The Checotah Little League wants to commend all these teams and the way they represented the league at these regional and state tournaments.
