On June 21, the Eufaula community celebrated the life of Pam Jackson (58) who passed away after a long battle with an illness. Jackson was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Jackson was a terrific athlete in high school and was defined as an offensive/defensive specialist on the basketball court long before that adjective became popular. She believed in hard work and dedication.

She came from a family of athletes with brothers, Mike, Brad and Donald Jones, Carlos and Jason Jackson and her son, Travis. Each was superior in their chosen sport with Donald receiving a scholarship in basketball at Connors State College and Travis receiving a scholarship to play football at the University of Wyoming.

Pam loved her community and being an Ironhead. She was born in Eufaula and lived here all her life doing things to better our community. Pam will be missed but her wonderful memory will live on through her family and friends.
