Labor Schools in Europe

A remarkable report has lately been published by the University of Cambridge in England on the subject of industrial education.

Promising that since workingmen cannot come to the University, it is the University’s duty to go to them, it proposes to open a course of specfic training, not for the so-called liberal professions, or for middle-men of any kind, but for the veritable producers – in other words, for the working class.

Is the Choctaw Indian going to be a Democrat or is he going to be a Republican in the new state politics? That is the question that is now engrossing the thoughts of both parties, not only in the new state but attracting attention in political circles throughout the United States.

I feel a great deal of concern in the matter and will undertake to give a few reasons why the Indian cannot afford to join the Republican party

Christmas Presents Arrive Late for Eufaula Soldier

Christmas falls on Dec. 25 every year on a normal calendar, but for Staff Sergeant D. C. Janeway, of Eufaula, this Christmas didn’t arrive until last week because it took that long for his gifts to catchup with him at Santa Anna Army Air Base. And the packages traveled better than 12,000 miles to reach him.

It all came about because Janeway’s family and friends got their Christmas packages off early, as they were urged to do by the post office and the Army, so he, then serving with the Army Air Forces unit in Italy, would receive them on time.

However, a beneficent headquarters decided that Janeway had been overseas long enough and sent him back home in December, when his gifts were just about reaching Italy Since then, the packages, around a dozen, have been traveling around Italy, over the Atlantic Ocean on the return trip, back across a good part of the US. to Eufaula and then clear out to the Pacific coast where he is now stationed.
